Classical crossover singer Katherine Jenkins has been announced as the face of VisitBritain's upcoming Countryside is GREAT campaign, launching in September as part of the GREAT Britain Campaign, which aims to encourage people to visit, study in and do business with the UK.

Jenkins will take part in projects including the GREAT Festival of Creativity in Istanbul in May and a number of summer concerts, and she commented 'It is a privilege to be an ambassador for the GREAT campaign, helping showcase our glorious country through music'.
